Emmanuel Ventouris, an accounting student working toward a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) title, balances his professional life with numerous hobbies and lifestyle interests. An energetic and outgoing individual, Emmanuel is always seeking out new learning opportunities and challenges across the board.

A resident of the greater Chicago area in Illinois, Emmanuel enjoys exploring new areas whenever he can. He caught the travel bug at a young age and has since spent much of his free time visiting new areas. Whether this means taking a simple day trip to local attractions or visiting iconic international landmarks, Emmanuel cherishes any opportunity to expand his perspectives on business, culture, and community.

One of Emmanuel Ventouris’ most memorable trips to this day was a trip to the Wall Street area in downtown Manhattan during a visit to New York. Widely known as one of the leading financial centers of the world, Wall Street boasts the headquarters of numerous major stock exchanges. The area is rich in history and he was able to take walking tours that not only showcased all of the most important sites in the area, but even provided insights into some of the most well-known crises and events in history. Emmanuel’s experience on Wall Street influenced him to further pursue his interest in numbers and create new goals for himself.

Museums are almost always an important stop on Emmanuel’s travel itineraries. He enjoys visiting historical and cultural centers that are unique to their local areas, but he also enjoys art in general. Some of his favorite museums are the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C. One of Emmanuel Ventouris’ goals is to someday visit the Louvre in Paris. Emmanuel is also interested in exploring his heritage and visiting the many iconic architectural landmarks in Greece, such as the Parthenon and Acropolis of Athens.

Outside of his interests in accounting and finance in general, Emmanuel Ventouris is interested in a wide variety of academic subjects, which is partially what drove him to choose a liberal arts college as an undergraduate. Outside of industry-specific courses including, but not limited to, Advanced Accounting, Corporate Taxation, Corporate Finance, and Micro- and Macroeconomics, Emmanuel enjoys learning about international and cross-cultural business practices.

This blog will mainly cover Emmanuel’s interests beyond the financial sector, including travel, culture, literature and more. To learn more about Emmanuel’s career interests, head over to his professional overview website.
